Recent transfer of judges without ill motives – Judicial Service

The Judicial Service has expressed concern about publications in some sections of the media imputing ill and improper motives to the Chief Justice’s recent exercise of re-assigning two High Court Judges.

In a press release, the Judicial Secretary, Justice Cynthia Pamela A. Addo, said the transfers were to address pressing administrative challenges.

“It is therefore regrettable that the implementation of these measures intended to promote the smooth administration of justice has now been misconstrued by some sections of the media,” Thursday’s statement said in part.
